Li Ziyuan’s Ceramic Art

      Li Ziyuan,born in Zichuan Shandond, April 1994. Graduated from the Ceramic Art Specialty of the Shandong Zibo Ceramic Industry School in 1962, Li is now chief of the Arts and Crafts Research Institute of Zibo City, Shandong Province arts and crafts master in 1992 and the title of Chinese ceramic art master in 2003 enjoying special allowance from the State Council.

    Master Li is accomplished in ceramic arts, painting, calligraphy,seal engraving and ceramic carving. He is particularly good at engraving and drill-carving that blends superbly the arts of painting,calligraphy and engraving with a special flavor of traditional Chinese ink and brush painting and seal engraving. His works convey a natural elegance and he is acclaimed as a representative of the Shandong school of ceramic carving.

   Li Ziyuan enjoys high prestige internationally. He has won four provincial prizes and two national prizes. His works have won wide approval at many international fairs including a gold medal at the 1982 Munch Arts and Crafts Fair for best personal artistic accomplishment, an houor won by first Chinese since Chiese arts and crafts products began to be displayed at the fair. He had his personal exhibition held in the Beijing Chinese Museum in October 1991. His works”Li Qingzhao” and “Banana and Birds” have been included in the Complete Collection of  Modern Chinese Arts.
